Linanthus (Leptosiphon hybrida) could arouse interest in lovers of unusual annual plants. This attractive novelty is undemanding in cultivation and shows great vigour. It produces numerous, slender, slightly crawling stalks that are covered with multi-coloured, star-shaped blooms from June to August. The flowers may take on shades of white, yellow and pink with yellow centres. Needle-like leaves of the linanthus, gathered in dense bundles, also present decorative value. Average height of a fully grown plant does not exceed 15 cm.
Linanthus will enchant everyone with the multitude of its blooms and delicate habit. It looks great in bowls and hanging baskets, fits into rockeries, edgings and elevated borders that underscore cascading form of the flowering tufts. The plant offered in our store likes sunny sites and requires rather light, permeable, alkaline soil. Sowing to the permanent site should take place between mid-April and mid-May.
The package contains 0.1 g of linanthus hybrid seeds. The sow-by date and growing guide have been printed at the back side of the package.
